Norwich Dandies nominated for Arts Award

The Norwich Dandies have been nominated for the EDP Peoples choice arts award. 

Please vote to make them winners of the 2014 Hostry Awards.

Norwich Dandies has been doing some fantastic work over the years working as an inclusive arts organisation everyone can join in and become a Dandy. 

This year we put on our first arts festival in Norwich called Dandifest. We ran free events and exhibitions of local and international artists. We did so well this year we have planned a string of fantastic events next that will cover Norfolk and the UK.

Reigning Cats and Dogs at the Birdcage for Dandifest

Its Reigning Cats and Dogs at the Birdcage and were inviting you to draw or paint or express yourself to raise money for Pet food bank all the proceeds from a charity art auction at the end of the exhibition will go to the little animals, who by no fault of there own have suffered from the recession and depression in the UK, due to humans making some very bad decisions. All ages can exhibit there work

Giant still life for Dandifest

Dandifest will have the World's Largest Still life which will be draped in amazing borrowed fabrics, covered in old and new objects and an array of donated food creating magnificent shrine to life in Norwich. The food will be given to the foodbank or food cycle at the end of Dandifest. People can become Dandies and paint the still life. There will be college groups and some of the days and public workshops. Nicola Lane Irish Artist at Dandifest

Nicola Lane's photos of her amazing sculptures will be exhibited at Dandifest in an International collaboration. Nicola is currently on a curation MA at Bath University. Nicola runs a gallery called the Platform Gallery that use to run along side a tearoom at Tullynally castle. The gallery now runs as a pop up gallery in Ireland. Nicola past work has been about food, sculpture and installation she also touches feminist side to art. Nicola Lane went to school with Norwich Dandy Eloise O'Hare in the 1980's they only recently met up again through social media thats when she asked Eloise to show at her gallery. Now is a chance for the Dandies to show her work here in Norwich.
