Ian Duncan Smith Portaloo Poetry gallery

Photos by Eloise O'Hare 2014©

The Poetry in the Portaloo exhibition was very successful, Poets with disabilities from all over the country posted in there poems and Vince Laws and friends helped laminate the Poems the lou became over crowded with poems so they were hung on the railing and from lines inside and out side of the church of art during Dandifest.

The Disabled Portaloo took quite a bit of wrangling to get one and then to get it over the fence in the end it actually fitted through the gate. Once the festival had a toilet for people with disabilities we felt like we could be an inclusive festival. Lots of people came to lift the toilet very early in the morning.

Poetry that spread on to railings also some cartoons.

Equal lives was set up in Norwich because at the moment the Government thinks its funny to pick on people with disabilities. Most governments are not very good at having visions of a better future and they follow other politicians mistakes its all down to not doing enough art and drawing and helping there brain be better at visualising ideas. The disabled have had to arm themselves with Equal lives and Hate Free Norfolk to get protection from government ideals.

Vince Laws who is a famous poet with invisible disabilities made some banners to go across the railing.
